Watch the human-like robot from Xiaomi playing drums

A video showing Xiaomi's human-like robot CyberOne playing the drums has been released online.

The robot was first announced in August of this year and the video demonstrates its ability to play the drums with sticks, pedals, and head movement to the beat of the music. Although the robot is able to maintain a steady rhythm, many viewers were unimpressed with its performance.

"Drummers can rest easy, this robot isn't going to steal your jobs," one commenter said. Another added, "It keeps the beat, but there's no soul in it." Xiaomi unveiled its first human-like robot, CyberOne, at a Beijing exhibition in August 2022. The robot is equipped with a multitude of sensors that enable it to move in a human-like manner and respond to stimuli.
