Leaked images from the set of an iPhone 17 Pro commercial have surfaced online — along with potential details about the device’s new camera features.
A source connected to the production told MacRumors about several unannounced upgrades. While the accuracy of these claims remains uncertain, the shoot aligns with Apple’s typical marketing schedule. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman later confirmed the authenticity of the images.
According to insiders, the iPhone 17 Pro may feature an upgraded telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom (up from 5x on the iPhone 16 Pro), a new dedicated camera button on the top edge of the device, and a standalone camera app, possibly inspired by Halide or Filmic Pro, or an enhanced version of Final Cut Camera. The app is expected to remain exclusive to Pro models.
The source also confirmed earlier rumors about a new orange-copper color option and a centrally positioned Apple logo on the back panel. Meanwhile, 𝕏 user Skyfops shared footage from the filming location, showing a device in a black protective case. A visible cutout on the top edge may hint at a second camera button or an antenna, as speculated by Gurman.
