Neuralink is planning a major scale-up. According to Bloomberg, the company expects to implant up to 20,000 neurochips a year by 2031, targeting over $1 billion in annual revenue.

As part of its growth strategy, Neuralink is preparing to open five large-scale clinics dedicated to chip implantation. The company is currently developing three devices:

  • Telepathy, a brain-computer interface;
  • Blindsight, aimed at vision restoration;
  • Deep, designed to assist patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Internal documents suggest that Telepathy could enter the U.S. market as early as 2029, with Blindsight following in 2030.

While the roadmap is bold, Bloomberg notes that CEO Elon Musk has a history of setting overly optimistic timelines and overpromising on technological breakthroughs.
