Russian robotics start-up Promobot will supply a batch of robocafes with “Dunyasha” cashier to the UAE. The company signed an agreement with UAE-based company Action to Action at the international exhibition Arab Health.
As part of the 2022-2023 contract, at least five robotic cafes with "Dunyasha" can be shipped to the UAE. The buyer paid for one robot, which cost $300,000.
The robot will be localised for the market and may wear a burqa or be made male. It could cost $50,000. The company says:
At this stage, this customisation is key, as these features will determine the success of the project in the Middle East market.
The robocafe is equipped with a soft-serve ice cream frizzer, a carbonated beverage machine, a coffee machine, robotic arms, a self-service terminal and a realistic robot cashier to communicate with the customer.
