Players complained mainly about regular crashes and plentiful performance issues.

Despite technical problems, the action game from Naughty Dog became Sony's fourth biggest release on PC.

A few hours after the release of The Last of Us Part I on PC, Steam generated an average rating for the action game based on user reviews. And judging by the first reviews, the community met the game rather coolly, at that moment it had only 36% positive reviews.

As per the comments, the TLoU port has optimization problems. Gamers complain about frequent crashes, freezes, as well as very long shader compilation - in some cases it can take up to two hours.

Notable, the media and bloggers have not received the keys to the PC version of The Last of Us for technical reviews - no such material has appeared in advance by any publication, including Digital Foundry. Reviews of previous Sony PC ports came out just in time for their release.

Despite technical problems and negative feedback from players, TLoU was the fourth-highest PlayStation release on Valve's digital store. The action game peaked with 36,496 players.
