Meta, Instagram's parent company, has said it will begin testing NFT in Instagram Stories using its augmented reality platform Spark AR.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “We're expanding our test so more creators around the world can display their NFTs on Instagram.”

Zuckerberg also confirmed that Facebook intends to support NFT in the future.

The company announced, “Creators and collectors will be able to share their digital collectibles across Facebook and Instagram after we begin rolling out the feature on Facebook with select US creators at a later date.”

In May, Meta launched digital collectibles specifically to allow users to share NFTs on Instagram. Besides, companies such as Meta, Adobe, Epic Games, Microsoft, Nvidia and Qualcomm announced the creation of the Metaverse standards body. The group intends to create the next version of the web and develop common ethics for Web3 and Metaverse.
