Meta released a large language model for artificial intelligence researchers

According to Meta, LLaMA is created ‘to help researchers advance their work in AI’.

LLaMA (Large Language Model Meta AI) will be available for the research community under a nonprofit license to researchers and organizations affiliated with government, civil society and academia. Developers will be able to use the large language model to create chatbots and other AI-based products.

As per Meta report, the version of LaMMA-13B performed better results than OpenAI's GPT-3.

LLaMA is not a system to talk to at all, but rather a research tool that can help experts identify problems with AI language models, from their biases and toxicity to their tendency to make up information.
