Meta announced two its senior executives in India resigned days after the firm’s country head had quit to join Snapchat.

Abhijit Bose, head of WhatsApp in India, and Rajiv Aggarwal, Meta’s public policy director in the country, have resigned, according to an emailed statement by Meta.

Meta said the latest exits aren’t linked to the “recent news cycles,” and pledged its commitment to India. The company said earlier this month it would cut more than 11,000 jobs worldwide, equal to about 13% of its workforce.

These resignations come amid growing pressure on big tech firms in India, with the government heaping compliance burden on them.
