Twitter has introduced a new feature that allows users to search for listed company stocks and cryptocurrency prices.

By typing the dollar symbol followed by the relevant ticker symbol, such as "$GOOG" or "$ETH", into the search bar, users can view the current price of a stock or cryptocurrency. It is also possible to access these prices without using the $ symbol, although the results may not be consistent.

When a stock or cryptocurrency price is displayed, it is accompanied by a static image showing the current price and a chart, although the information displayed on the chart is unclear.

Users can also click on a "View on Robinhood" button to access more detailed information about a stock or cryptocurrency. It is not clear if Twitter has formed any partnerships with Robinhood or TradingView, the website from which the data appears to be sourced. In the coming weeks, Twitter plans to improve the user experience and add better symbol compatibility.
