According to the prosecution, Durov is currently being questioned as part of an investigation into an unnamed individual — the arrest is related to suspicions of numerous cybercrimes, and the first case against him was initiated as early as July 8.
The detention period of the head of Telegram, however, expires on August 28 "in accordance with the procedure applicable to crimes related to organized crime."
It should be noted that earlier, the President of France stated that the detention of the head of Telegram is "by no means a political decision" and is the result of an ongoing judicial investigation.
Recall that it became known on the evening of August 24 that officers of the French Air Gendarmerie detained Pavel Durov at Le Bourget airport.
