Apple is gearing up to make its product lineup significantly thinner, following the unveiling of its slimmest product ever, the new M4 iPad Pro, which measures just 5.1mm thick.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that this trend will extend to future versions of the iPhone, Apple Watch, and MacBook Pro.

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman states that the new iPad Pro represents the "beginning of a new class of Apple devices" aiming to be the "thinnest and lightest products in their categories." This aligns with previous reports indicating that the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will feature a notably thinner model set for release in 2025. Additionally, Apple is developing thinner versions of the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch.

Gurman also highlights a major overhaul for the Apple Watch, referred to as the ‘Apple Watch X,’ expected to be the "biggest overhaul yet" in the device's design.

While there is no specific timeline for the release of these thinner MacBook Pro and Apple Watch models, the latest M4 iPad Pro seems to set the stage for a new design language across Apple’s future devices.
