Instagram introduces Myspace-style 'song on profile' feature

Instagram has added a new feature that lets users add a song to their profile, reminiscent of Myspace's iconic music feature from the early 2000s.

The song appears in the bio section and can be played or paused by visitors, but it won't autoplay like in Myspace. Users can select a 30-second clip from Instagram’s licensed music library. The feature debuts with pop star Sabrina Carpenter's new track "Taste," which can only be heard on her Instagram profile ahead of its official album release.
