YouTube is testing a new sleep timer feature for its Premium subscribers, allowing users to set a timer to pause videos after a selected period.
The feature, aimed at those who fall asleep to long podcasts or white noise, offers options to pause playback after 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes, or until the video ends.
The sleep timer can be enabled through the settings menu on both desktop and mobile devices.
While similar features have been available on platforms like Spotify and TikTok, YouTube's test is set to run until September 2, with the potential for a broader rollout if successful.
