Apple is reportedly developing a new home accessory, as indicated by code discovered on its backend by MacRumors.

The device, referenced with the identifier "HomeAccessory17,1," represents a new category for Apple and suggests it may feature the upcoming A18 chip, which will be included in the iPhone 16 models later this year.

The code also reveals that this home accessory will run a software variant of tvOS, similar to the HomePod, and may be part of the long-rumored homeOS ecosystem. Additionally, the code hints at two unreleased Apple TV models, identified as AppleTV14,4 and AppleTV14,5, which are speculated to launch in 2024.

Apple is expected to announce new products, including iPhones and iPads, in September.
