Apple's Phil Schiller to join OpenAI's board

Apple's Phil Schiller, head of the App Store and former marketing chief, is set to join OpenAI's nonprofit board as an observer, according to Bloomberg.

This role allows Schiller to attend board meetings without voting rights, giving him insight into OpenAI’s operations as Apple integrates ChatGPT into iOS and macOS. The partnership, which involves no immediate financial exchange, will see Siri leveraging ChatGPT for advanced queries with user permission.
