Initially launched for newer Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices, the feature now works on a broader range of Android devices, according to an update on Google's Help page.

The integration of Gemini into Google Messages was first announced at MWC earlier this year, offering users the ability to interact with the chatbot directly within their texting app. This feature, which supports English in 164 countries and French in Canada, allows users to draft messages, plan events, and etc.

Google is working to expand the feature to more languages and regions. For now, users must set their phone language to English or French (if in Canada) to use Gemini. Additionally, the user must be at least 18 years old and have RCS chats enabled in the Google Messages app.

To use Gemini, open the Messages app, start a new conversation, and select the option to chat with the bot. The feature is also launching in India, marking a significant expansion for the service.
