According to a report from ZDNET Korea, the tech giant has requested OLED panels from its suppliers, with Samsung Display already developing sample 8-inch OLED panels for the future iPad mini.

Samsung, which currently supplies OLED panels for the new iPad Pro, is leveraging its experience to produce displays that enhance brightness and power efficiency.

Unlike the latest iPad Pro models that feature two-stack LTPO OLED panels, the forthcoming iPad mini and iPad Air are expected to use single-stack LTPS panels. This means they may not match the iPad Pro in brightness and will likely lack ProMotion technology. The iPad mini's screen size is also anticipated to increase from 8.3 inches to 8.7 inches
