According to reports from AppleInsider, macOS 15 will introduce a genre-defining update to the Mac's calculator application.

The forthcoming update will bring a significant redesign to the calculator interface, replacing the conventional number boxes with sleek round buttons. Notably, users will have the flexibility to resize the calculator window, with the round buttons dynamically adjusting their shape to fit the available space.

Among the standout features of the revamped calculator is a new history tape, allowing users to effortlessly track and review previous calculations. Whether in basic, scientific, or programmer mode, users can access the history tape with a single click, streamlining data analysis and trend tracking.

Integration with Apple's Notes app is another highlight of the update, enabling seamless creation of notes with mathematical notation directly from the calculator interface. This integration promises enhanced productivity for users, akin to functionalities offered by competing platforms like Microsoft's OneNote.

Moreover, the updated calculator app will simplify currency conversions by integrating the conversion tool directly into the user interface.
