New Apple Watch to feature a major redesign

According to Taiwan-based outlet DigiTimes, which covers supply chains, at least one new Apple Watch model set for release in 2026 will feature a significant design change.

The Apple Watch Series 12, expected in September 2026, will introduce more advanced health monitoring capabilities, made possible by Apple Intelligence.

The new Apple Watch is expected to include blood pressure tracking technology — focused on monitoring trends and alerting users to abnormalities rather than providing precise measurements.

Earlier, insider @StellaFudge shared a photo of the Apple Watch Series 11, slated for release in September 2025. The image shows a new sensor shaped like a ring with eight lines, though it remains unclear whether it is connected to blood pressure monitoring.

Non-invasive blood glucose monitoring is unlikely to appear in Apple’s wearables due to medical regulations and patent disputes. The company had explored using sensor chips to capture signals and then analyzing them with machine learning algorithms.
