Activision's union becomes largest in video games industry

Approximately 600 employees have joined the Communications Workers of America (CWA), marking a significant milestone in the push for workers' rights within the gaming sector.

This move comes as part of Microsoft's agreement with the CWA, which includes respecting the right of Activision Blizzard workers to unionize following Microsoft's acquisition of the gaming giant for $68.7 billion. The agreement ensures a neutral approach from Microsoft during union campaigns, allowing workers to decide for themselves without interference.

This unionization effort follows a similar move by Zenimax employees, another Microsoft subsidiary, further solidifying the trend towards unionization in the gaming industry.
