Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly constructing a compound, Koolau Ranch, in Kauai, Hawaii, with extraordinary features, according to sources and planning documents obtained by Wired.

Estimated to cost around $100 million, the property includes a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker, an escape hatch, and advanced security features. The compound, totaling around $270 million with land costs, aims for self-sufficiency, boasting its energy, food, and water supply.

The expansive property will feature over 30 bedrooms and bathrooms, connected by nearly a dozen tree houses linked by rope bridges, creating a treetop experience for guests. Plans outline two mansions connected by a tunnel, leading to the underground bunker equipped with an escape hatch accessible by ladder and reinforced metal doors. Unique security measures, like "blind doors" camouflaged within the walls, are proposed for added privacy and protection.

While Meta has not commented on the reports, the ambitious project reflects a trend among tech leaders, including Sam Altman and Steve Huffman, who have also made preparations for potential doomsday scenarios.
