Telegram’s revenue has skyrocketed in 2024.In the first half of 2024, the messaging app generated $525 million in revenue, marking an almost 200% increase compared to the same period last year.

By the end of June 2024, Telegram’s revenue had risen from $400 million at the end of 2023 to an impressive $1.3 billion.

A significant contributor to this growth was the sale of cryptocurrency, particularly Toncoin. Telegram earned $353 million from digital asset sales in the first half of the year, with $348 million of that coming from Toncoin.

Revenue from ads and Premium subscriptions also surged. Advertising revenue more than doubled year-on-year to reach $120 million, while income from subscriptions soared nearly fourfold to $119 million.

Interestingly, the arrest of Pavel Durov in Paris in August did not impact Telegram’s financial performance.
