Creators have long complained about their fluctuating post performance.

Instagram is going to start notifying content makers in case their posts are blocked from being recommended in sections like “explore” and “home feed”. It was announced by the head of the social network Adam Mosseri. Creators and businesses will be able to check these notifications in a dedicated section of the app.

Developers added sections in the menu of the app: users need to click on the button under their account page and then on the “account status”. The company reminded that publications must comply with the rules in order to appear in the recommendations of the service. Creators and businesses will be able to edit or delete the post, or to appeal Instagram’s decision on posts flagged as being ineligible for recommendations.

We know reach can be volatile. We know it's important for creators to understand how Instagram works if they're going to use it over the long run

The new feature can provide more clarity for people and companies which notice a decrease in reach and offer an explanation for them for not reaching as many users as before.

It may help make the Instagram policy in promoting publications more transparent and clear. Also It may alleviate creators' current concerns about post performance fluctuating.
