Distinct from the parent brand, the new AUDI brand is styled with capital letters and omits Audi's iconic four-ring logo. This venture is a collaboration with Chinese partner SAIC.
With this new brand, Audi aims to reach tech-savvy customers in China’s rapidly evolving automotive market. “The automotive industry is undergoing its largest transformation in history. Through our partnership in China, we play a decisive role in shaping this transformation,” said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.
The first model under the new brand, the AUDI E, is a fully electric hatchback. Equipped with dual electric motors on the front and rear axles, the vehicle delivers a total output of 570 kW (775 hp) and features Audi's quattro all-wheel drive. The AUDI E accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.
The car is powered by a 100 kWh battery, offering an impressive range of up to 700 km on a single charge. Production for the AUDI E is set to begin in 2025, marking Audi’s commitment to expanding its electric lineup in one of the world’s largest EV markets.
