Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, is developing a new app powered by a chatbot designed specifically for children.
Musk shared the news via his X (formerly Twitter) account:
We’re going to make Baby Grok @xAI, an app dedicated to kid-friendly content.
No further details were provided, but the announcement follows growing backlash against Grok, xAI’s original chatbot, for generating toxic and inappropriate responses.
- Grok has faced repeated criticism from Western media for producing antisemitic and offensive content, praising Hitler, referencing genocides, and role-playing as figures like “Cyber-Stalin.”
- The situation escalated to the point that xAI was forced to issue a formal apology.
