Which emojis are coming this fall?

In celebration of World Emoji Day, the Unicode Consortium has approved a new batch of symbols set to be included in Unicode 17 this fall.

The emoji lineup is expanding with the following additions:

• Trombone
• Treasure Chest
• Distorted Face
• Hairy Creature
• Fight Cloud
• Apple Core
• Orca
• Ballet Dancers

These new emojis are expected to roll out to commercial devices in spring 2026. Apple will likely redesign and include them in one of the iOS 26 beta releases in fall 2025.
