Previously limited to pinning just one message, this update offers users greater flexibility in accessing important information within chats.

The announcement came from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart, who shared the news on their respective WhatsApp Channels. Initially introduced for one-on-one and group conversations last December, the feature now extends to all users.

With the new functionality, users can pin various types of messages, including text, images, and polls. This feature proves especially useful for swiftly accessing vital details.

To pin a message, users need to long-press on it and select the "Pin" option. Additionally, users can choose the duration for which the message stays pinned—options include 24 hours, 7 days (the default choice), and 30 days.

However, users should note that there is no option to keep a message pinned indefinitely. Messages pinned for 30 days will need to be re-pinned after the specified period. Alternatively, users can "Star" a message to access it through the contact information menu.
