Meta has announced that it will delete all Oculus accounts by March 29th, 2024, unless users migrate to a Meta account before then.

Failure to migrate will result in the loss of games, purchases, store credits, achievements, and other content associated with Oculus accounts.

Since 2020, Meta has been transitioning users to sign up with Facebook accounts, but an alternative to users who didn’t want to link their Facebook account to their Quest headset was introduced in 2022 with the option to create a Meta account. However, as of January 2023, users could no longer log into their Oculus accounts.

To migrate an Oculus account to a Meta one, users need to visit a specific page and sign up for a Meta account using the same email associated with their Oculus account. This will allow them to retain access to their games, data, and purchases.
