The United States Court of Appeals has put a temporary hold on the ban that prevented the sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models.

This means these devices can be back on the shelves in the United States for a little while. The pause happened after Apple urgently asked the court to reconsider the sales ban, which had recently gone into effect following President Biden's choice not to veto it.

The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has given a brief pause while they carefully look at Apple's request for a full stay during the appeal process. So, for now, the ban on importing these Apple Watch models has been put on hold.

The International Trade Commission (ITC) has until January 10 to respond to Apple's request, adding another layer to this legal battle that started when Masimo accused Apple of hiring away its employees to get hold of technology linked to blood oxygen monitoring in the Apple Watch.

The outcome of this legal battle will decide whether the sales ban continues or these Apple Watch models get the green light for sale in the US.
