Microsoft has purchased a 407-acre property in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, from the Creuziger family for $76 million, with plans to construct a multi-building data center.
The acquisition is part of Microsoft's larger investment in the village, totaling over $1 billion. The land, initially valued at $174,200 in 2023, rose to $598,400 after improvements. The property, which includes the Land of the Giants pumpkin farm and a nine-acre corn maze, will be used for a data center campus.
Microsoft's investment is a positive development for the village, following Foxconn's scaled-back investment in 2019, and is expected to create jobs and economic opportunities in the area.
