The Volkswagen Group has confirmed that upcoming vehicles from brands such as Audi, Porsche, and Scout Motors will feature Tesla's North American Charging Standard (NACS) starting in 2025.

Despite being one of the last major automakers to adopt this standard, Volkswagen Group's decision follows a trend set by various industry players, including Ford, GM, Rivian, Honda, Mercedes, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, and Subaru, indicating a broad industry shift towards standardized electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Notably, this move comes after Volkswagen's charging network, Electrify America, also revealed plans to embrace the NACS standard.

However, Stellantis, the parent company of brands like Jeep and Chrysler, is still undecided and is still evaluating its position on the charging standard.
