Instagram empowers users with enhanced spam control tools

Meta announces a comprehensive set of tools on Instagram aimed at combatting spam and providing users more control over their profiles.

The suite includes an improved automated detection system that identifies spam in comments, tags, story views, and followers. Users can now efficiently delete bulk spam items, with flagged spam accounts sent to a separate inbox for review. Non-spam accounts can be approved and added to the following list, while spam accounts are automatically removed after 30 days.

The update also introduces in-app notifications for posts violating content policies and enhanced filtering for comments with questionable keywords.
