Tesla is set to roll out its highly anticipated 2023 Holiday Update next week, introducing significant enhancements to its vehicles, with a focus on safety and entertainment.

One standout feature is the capability for Teslas to automatically dial 911 in the event of a crash when the airbags deploy, further increasing the company's care for driver safety.

Among the entertainment additions, the update includes support for Apple Podcasts, joining the previously integrated Apple Music. Notably, Tesla owners can now sync podcasts with their Apple devices.

The update, labeled 2023.44.25, brings several improvements, including rear-screen Bluetooth headset support, an updated park assistance system with 3D visuals, and new blind spot indicators.

The blind spot indicator, demonstrated in a video shared by Not a Tesla App, reveals a glowing red signal on the lane change camera's video when the vehicle detects another vehicle in the blind spot. Additionally, Tesla vehicles will now be able to read light shows from a single storage drive, eliminating the need for separate USB sticks.

Gaming enthusiasts will find new additions this year, including a tower defense game named Castle Doombad and rear-screen gaming.

The 2023 Holiday Update aims to build on Tesla's tradition of delivering substantial features during holiday releases. In previous years, updates brought Apple Music integration, Steam gaming, TikTok, Sonic the Hedgehog, and more.
