Amazon has revealed plans to utilize SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket for three launches scheduled in 2025 to deploy its Project Kuiper internet satellites.

Project Kuiper aims to provide global internet connectivity through a low Earth orbit satellite network. Despite the intense competition between the two companies in the satellite internet space, Amazon's move highlights the increasing reliance on SpaceX's reusable rockets for cost-effective and consistent satellite launches, as seen in their dominant 88 percent share in the first half of 2023.

While most of Amazon's satellites will still be launched by Arianespace, Blue Origin, and United Launch Alliance, SpaceX's involvement highlights its dominance in the space launch market.
