AI Studio was presented at Meta's annual Connect developer conference.

This platform enables businesses to create custom AI chatbots for messaging services like Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.

Initially available in alpha, AI Studio focuses on enhancing customer service experiences and brand values, primarily for e-commerce and customer support applications. Meta plans to expand the toolkit further in the coming year.

In addition to AI Studio, Meta is developing a sandbox tool to be launched in the future that will allow users to experiment with building their own AI-based chatbots. These AI creations may eventually be integrated into Meta's metaverse platforms, such as Horizon Worlds, to power NPCs across various metaverse games and experiences. Creators will have control over the AIs they develop, providing a personalized virtual presence.

Meta emphasizes that AI Studio chatbots are more dynamic and operate based on advanced language models such as Llama 2. However, the effectiveness of such chatbots still needs to be carefully tested, given concerns about bias and inaccuracies found in large language models.
