In response to user demands, Threads is set to receive significant updates in the coming weeks.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, announced through the app that Threads will soon have a web version accessible from desktops and a better search function.

Currently, Threads users can access posts on desktop, but interactions like replies, reposts, likes, and sending messages redirect to a QR code linking to the mobile app. The upcoming web version will enable seamless interaction with the platform from desktop devices, enhancing the overall user experience.

Additionally, Threads' search function, while existing, has been limited in its capabilities. Users have been able to search for other accounts, but the ability to search for specific posts has been absent.

The forthcoming search function update is expected to address this limitation and provide users with the ability to search for and locate particular posts within the platform.

Recent weeks have seen the introduction of a chronological feed and built-in translations. These updates are aimed at bringing back user engagement, which has declined after an initial surge in popularity.
