WhatsApp beta testing feature to customize pin duration for messages

In a forthcoming update, WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature that will enable users to select the duration for which their messages remain pinned within chats and groups.

The feature, discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.13.11 update, offers three options: 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days.

With pinned messages, WhatsApp aims to provide users with a convenient way to keep important information or announcements prominently displayed at the top of a conversation. This ensures that the messages are easily accessible and not overshadowed by other incoming messages.

The addition of the message pin duration feature grants users greater control and flexibility, allowing them to unpin the message at any time before the chosen duration expires.
