Xiaomi presented Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition

These are augmented reality glasses that connect to a smartphone.

The headset is equipped with two MicroOLED screens and electrochromic lenses for transparency and immersion modes. The interface in AR can be controlled using gestures.

The device would enable to work with apps and return to start page without using a smartphone. Founder and CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun twittered:

Boasting a retina-level near-eye display for AR glasses, Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition delivers a truly immersive visual experience. Moreover, our self-developed Xiaomi AR Gesture Control empowers effortless control between virtual and real space.

Xiaomi presented the device at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where the company also unveiled its latest flagship smartphone the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

The headset will require further improvements before the device is ready for the consumer.
