In the third beta of iOS 26, Apple has made noticeable changes to the system’s visual design — most notably by reducing the transparency of its new Liquid Glass interface and enhancing overall readability.

Navigation panels across several system and stock apps now feature a more pronounced frosted effect, making text and icons easier to distinguish — particularly when layered over bright or high-contrast wallpapers.

While some users may see the reduced transparency as a step back from the original “liquid” aesthetic, Apple appears to be striking a balance between visual appeal and usability. Developers and beta testers have largely welcomed the update, noting that the refined look improves day-to-day legibility without compromising the integrity of the new design language.

If Apple maintains its current update pace, this version is expected to form the basis of the first public beta, which is set to roll out in the coming weeks.
