Described as an "augmented reality laptop," Spacetop offers a unique remote working experience by projecting virtual tabs onto a 100-inch screen in front of the user.

This groundbreaking device consists of a hardware deck, a full-size keyboard, and a pair of specially designed NReal glasses that seamlessly integrate with the user's surroundings.

While it rivals the capabilities of smartphones capable of driving AR glasses, Spacetop's form factor is larger, measuring 1.57 inches high, 10.47 inches wide, and 8.8 inches deep. Weighing in at 3.3 pounds, it offers the portability of a laptop.

Sightful aims to target the growing demand for flexible work-from-home solutions with its "road warrior" mentality. Tamir Berliner, co-founder of Sightful and a former employee of Leap Motion and Primesense, emphasized the need for a device that aligns with the modern work environment. Berliner said,

Laptops are the centerpiece of our daily working lives, but the technology has not evolved with the modern, work-from-anywhere, privacy matters mentality. Meanwhile, augmented reality is full of potential and promise but is yet to find its daily use case. We are at the perfect moment for a significant paradigm shift in a device we all know and love.

Spacetop is currently available for purchase through an application-based program, limited to 1,000 early adopters. Pricing details and availability for the wider market have not yet been disclosed.

However, industry experts are closely following this project, eager to see if Spacetop can successfully bridge the gap where previous attempts have fallen short.
