Launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, the ispace's Hakuto-R Mission 1 lander has been orbiting the moon since April 12 and will soon begin its landing sequence.
If successful, it will be the first privately operated lander to touch down on the lunar surface. The mission is also carrying the United Arab Emirates' Rashid rover, which will study the properties of lunar soil and surface conditions.
There are several photos shared and everything is ready for the landing.
We’ve received another incredible photo from the camera onboard our Mission 1 lander!

A private Japanese spacecraft could be the first to successfully land on the moon, potentially marking a historic moment in space exploration. The stakes are high as previous attempts by India and Israel in 2019 ended in failure.
