Copilot will assist users with generating documents, presentations, emails, and much more.

The modern AI assistant will be integrated into Microsoft 365 apps — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and more. It is designed to optimize work process, for example, create documents based on other files, perform massive tables in Excel without a single formula, and just generate beautiful presentations.

"With our new copilot for work, we're giving people more agency and making technology more accessible through the most universal interface — natural language," said Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, Microsoft.

Copilot is based on the GPT-4 language model and is the familiar chatbot, which will be located in the sidebar.

With Copilot, you’re always in control. You decide what to keep, modify or discard. Now, you can be more creative in Word, more analytical in Excel, more expressive in PowerPoint, more productive in Outlook and more collaborative in Teams.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is being tested currently with 20 customers only. However, Microsoft will share more about pricing and details in the coming months.
