The new feature allows users to generate images by typing a description, adding context such as location or activity, and choosing an art style.

Bing Image Creator is powered by an advanced version of OpenAI’s DALL-E model and is available in the Bing preview in Creative mode. It can also be accessed separately via a website for English text-to-image generation.

“For those in the Bing preview, Bing Image Creator will be fully integrated into the Bing chat experience, rolling out initially in Creative mode,” explains Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s head of consumer marketing.

Microsoft plans to add more language support in the future. The company has put in safeguards to prevent the generation of harmful or unsafe images and has limited the feature to Creative mode for now.

The company is also rolling out its Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0 features to all Bing users. Stories offer a snippet of information with images and short videos, while Knowledge Cards highlight key information.
