Xiaomi has unveiled its new smart device — the AI Glasses — featuring a built-in voice assistant, object recognition, and environmental awareness tools.

The glasses weigh around 40 grams and are equipped for photography, video recording, calls, music playback, and real-time guidance.

They come with a 12MP camera capable of shooting 2K video and are powered by an onboard voice assistant that can identify objects and respond to user queries about their surroundings. For example, the glasses can tell you what building you're looking at or what a nearby road sign says.

The device offers up to eight hours of battery life and charges via USB-C. It also doubles as a Bluetooth headset for calls.

Preorders are now open in China, with a retail price of 1,999 yuan (approximately $275 USD). It's not yet clear whether the AI Glasses will launch internationally.
