Apple may be preparing one of the most significant iPhone redesigns in recent years. Front Page Tech has released high-quality renders of what is expected to be the company's anniversary iPhone 20.
The device, which Apple is reportedly developing to mark the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, is expected to feature a fundamentally new design and a distinctly premium look. The defining element of the smartphone is said to be a nearly bezel-less form factor with curved edges across the entire frame.
The renders depict the iPhone 20 with a display that curves on all four sides, not only on the left and right but also along the top and bottom. The result is a front panel that appears as a single, continuous sheet of glass.
The bezel-less concept implies the absence of visible cutouts, raising the possibility that Apple is working to hide both the Face ID system and the front camera beneath the display. However, several sources remain skeptical that under-display camera and Face ID technologies will be fully ready by 2027.
The renders show the iPhone 20 with two main cameras rather than the three found on current Pro models. This suggests Apple may be considering the new design for more than just its highest-tier Pro version.
Other notable details include a new A21 chip, a redesigned battery with a silicon anode, an improved HDR camera sensor, and mobile HBM memory to support more advanced on-device AI features.
On the battery side, Apple is reportedly moving away from a traditional lithium-ion design toward a silicon anode battery. According to rumors, the company is aiming to fit greater capacity into the same chassis and significantly extend battery life as a result.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has previously reported that Apple is indeed developing a special model with significantly more glass, with the goal of achieving an "all-screen" design.
The anniversary iPhone is expected to launch in 2027, marking 20 years since the original iPhone was unveiled. For now, all of this remains based on rumors and supply chain leaks, and the final design and specifications could differ significantly from the current renders.
