A short demo video showing what appears to be a new pair of AirPods with cameras has been discovered in the macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate, MacRumors reports.

In the video, a man wearing AirPods asks Siri to remember a book he is looking at. The assistant explains that Visual Intelligence can save something the user sees for later with a simple voice command.

The cameras themselves are not visible in the footage, and the earbuds look almost identical to the current AirPods Pro, although the stems appear slightly thicker.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple could launch camera-equipped AirPods under the codename B790 later this year. MacRumors also found references to B790 in the same macOS 26.7 RC build, including code related to an “image stream.” According to Bloomberg, B790 is separate from another Apple project known as B798, which is not expected before 2027.

With the demo video already included in a Release Candidate build of macOS, the new AirPods could be announced as early as next month alongside the new iPhones.
