Instagram tests custom sticker creation feature for Reels and Stories

This tool identifies the subject in a photo and removes the background, resulting in a free-floating sticker that can be placed on top of other content.

Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, demonstrated this feature in a video posted on his broadcast channel. He explained that users will not only be able to create stickers from images stored on their phones but also from "eligible images you see on Instagram." While Mosseri didn't provide specific details about this feature, it suggests that users may have the option to make their own images available for sticker creation.
