Delivery Robot in Dubai

FedEx launches first trial of Roxo™ SameDay robot in Dubai. The world’s largest express transportation company, FedEx Express signed a collaboration with Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) to launch the autonomous trials for its delivery robot in the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) community.

Roxo is designed as a personal delivery device to make autonomous same-day deliveries to customers’ homes and businesses. Using technologies such as laser detection and ranging sensors (LiDAR), multiple cameras, and radar, and coupled with machine-learning algorithms to avoid obstacles, Roxo, with the assistance of human teleoperators, will navigate a safe path to replicate a door-to-door delivery experience.

The trial is will take place between Dubai Silicon Oasis Headquarters and Dubai Digital Park, marking Roxo’s first trial outside the US.
