Apple is opening today its first Store in India, named Apple BKC, located in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex.
The store has been designed to be one of the most energy-efficient Apple Store locations in the world, and it is operationally carbon neutral, running on 100% renewable energy.
The store features a triangular handcrafted timber ceiling made up of 408 pieces of timber, two stone walls sourced from Rajasthan, and a 14-meter-long stainless steel staircase connecting the ground level and the cantilevered mezzanine.
Apple BKC also offers customers free Today at Apple sessions, which celebrate the local community and culture, as well as a wide range of Apple products and services, including iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
“Apple BKC is a reflection of Mumbai’s vibrant culture and brings together the best of Apple in a beautiful, welcoming space for connection and community,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail.
Apple has been operating in India for over 25 years, and the opening of Apple BKC is a reflection of its deep commitment to the community.
