Apple has announced that it is launching Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro on the iPad, with new features designed for mobile video and music creators.
The apps, available starting May 23, will be priced at $4.99 per month or $49 per year on iPad.
The touch interfaces of these apps have been redesigned for the iPad, delivering intuitive and immediate experiences with Multi-Touch functionality.
Final Cut Pro on iPad features a comprehensive set of video editing tools to record, edit, finish, and share, while Logic Pro on iPad provides a complete suite of sophisticated tools for songwriting, beat making, recording, editing, and mixing.
The move puts Apple in direct competition with popular video editing tool Davinci Resolve, which released an iPad-optimized app last year.
